The arrest of Reese Witherspoon:
A mug shot's never as flattering as publicity photos…
Reese Witherspoon is a famous actress, known for roles in "Legally Blonde", "Sweet Home Alabama" and "Legally Blonde 2: Red White & Blonde".
She also won a "Best Actress" Academy Award for her portrayal as June Carter Cash in the Johnny Cash bio "Walk the Line", opposite Joaquin Phoenix.
But it was no act early on the morning of April 19, 2013 in Atlanta.
In town filming "The Good Lie", Weatherspoon and her husband Jim Toth (as well as an unnamed third passenger) were pulled over after their car was seen weaving. Toth was the driver and was found to have a blood alcohol level in excess of the legal driving limit. He was charged with driving under the influence.
Reese interceded and ended up being charged with disorderly conduct…
.....for disobeying the arresting officer's instructions to remain in the vehicle and arguing with him, saying she did not believe he was a real police officer and asking if he knew who she was, as seen in this clip.
She ended up pleading no contest and was fined $213.
Chastened by the experience, she later backtracked on the entire incident.

Her legal issues resolved, Reese Witherspoon then resumed her acting career.
