The arrest of Joyce DeWitt:
She was the perky brunette in one of the big comedy hits of the 1970's, "Three's Company".
Joyce Dewitt was born in Wheeling, West Virginia and grew up in a suburb of Indianapolis.
She got a theater arts degree at Ball State University and moved to California to gain a Master's at UCLA.
Her debut was on the Robert Blake series "Baretta", and in 1977, got her breakout role as Janet Wood on "Three's Company", which co-starred John Ritter and Suzanne Somers.
That show ran until 1984.
DeWitt had a falling out with Somers after Suzanne left the show and they didn't patch things up until 2012.
Joyce's legal problems began on Independence Day, 2009 when she was arrested for drunk driving. She was booked and later released after posting $5,000 bail.
Less than a year later, around the 2010 Memorial Day Weekend, she pleaded no contest to one misdemeanor count and was placed on three years' probation and had to join a nine month alcohol program.
