The arrests of Russell Brand:

This English comedian, radio host and actor hit the big-time with his role in the movie "Forgetting Sarah Marshall".

He also worked as a voice actor in the animated movie "Despicable Me" and played the title role in the 2011 remake of the movie "Arthur."

Russell Edward Brand was born in Essex, England and was raised by his mother after his parents divorced when he was only six months old. He's called his childhood lonely and isolated.

As a teenager, he lived with relatives when his mother underwent cancer treatment and by the time he was 16 left home after disagreements with his Mom's live in partner. That's when he started experimenting with pot, pills and LSD.

He married singer Katy Perry in October, 2010...

…and they divorced in December 2011.

He's been arrested a few times. In September, 2010, there was a suspected battery charge on a photographer who blocked his and Perry's path when they tried to catch a flight out of Los Angeles and Russell had to post $20,000 bail.

Then in March, 2012, he was charged with grabbing another paparazzo's phone and throwing it through a window, that incident took place in New Orleans where Brand was filming a movie. He offered to pay for replacement of the window.
