Here's the college football assistant whose actions not only led to his own imprisonment but also ruined the reputation of a legendary college head coach and sullied the name of a previously well respected American university.

…served as an assistant for most of his career under Penn State head coach Joe Paterno.
Sandusky actually won two Assistant Coach of the Year Awards, in 1986 and 1999, and wrote several football related books.
In 1977, he founded a nonprofit charity for underprivileged youth called "The Second Mile", and continued working with the organization after he retired from Penn State in 1999.
He had an office at the school until 2011 and after a two year grand jury investigation; Sandusky was arrested and charged with sexually abusing young boys over a 15 year period.
Not only was he convicted of 48 counts and sentenced to 30 to 60 years in prison, but Paterno and other University officials were swept under in the ensuing scandal.
Sandusky's serving his time in Pennsylvania SCI Green Supermax prison and had his request for a new trial denied in 2013.
On September 8, 2014, the NCAA, citing "progress toward ensuring its athletics department functions with integrity," restored Penn State's post-season eligibility immediately and allowed it to return to a full 85 scholarship roster in 2015.
