The arrest of Bill Gates:
He's one of the richest men in the world, worth an estimated 75 to 80 billion dollars, and a true innovator in the computer industry who led Microsoft to the top of the software industry.
And William Henry Gates accomplished so much more in life. In addition to his business savvy and inventiveness, he's also a major philanthropist.
Even though he stepped down as chief executive officer of Microsoft in 2000, he remained as Chairman and created the title of chief software architect for himself.
But long before his unbelievable success, this Seattle native had a couple of legal run-ins.
Like the time he was arrested in Albuquerque for running a stop sign and driving without a license. In 1979 he was picked up for speeding and – again – driving without a license. And in 1989, again behind the wheel, he was arrested for drunk driving, although the charges were later reduced.
