The arrest of Sean Combs:

He's a hip hop mogul with a rap sheet. Sean Combs, a.k.a. Diddy, was arrested after an alleged assault at UCLA, where his son Justin plays defensive back for the football team.

It was reported that UCLA's strength and conditioning coach Sal Alosi was screaming at Justin during a training session as Diddy watched from the sidelines. Combs is accused of confronting the coach in his office and swinging a kettlebell.

Although no one was seriously hurt, Combs was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon.

Jail records showed Combs had to shell out $160,000 dollars bail several hours after his arrest, but sheriff's officials amended that to $50,000. The entertainer, previously known as Puff Daddy and P Diddy, then came back with a claim of self-defense, saying he was protecting himself and his son.

Diddy's representative said the other accounts of the incident were completely inaccurate. The investigation and legal process continues.

However, these are the latest in a series of charges of violence against Combs.

He was acquitted of bribery and weapons charges in a 1999 shooting in a New York nightclub. He was also arrested that year for involvement in the beating of a former Interscope Records executive Steve Stoute and the charges were reduced after he apologized. There were also charges of driving with a suspended license.

And in early 2015, Combs was accused of punching an Arizona man in the face at the Super Bowl but he was not arrested.
